DFA of California was created over 100 years ago to promote better understanding among growers, processors and purchasers of dried fruit and tree nuts. Originally incorporated as the Dried Fruit Association of California on February 14, 1908, we expanded well beyond the early period and now offer services to ensure food safety. DFA offers full-service food laboratories, satellite laboratories, various audits, HACCP verifications, technical research, product inspections, arbitrations, international advocacy, and much more. DFA of California is a non-profit organization with voluntary membership, committed to safe food and serving the agricultural industry and consumers.
