DFA of California’s laboratories have experience in mycotoxins stemming back to the 1970’s. It has been involved in collaborative studies to develop official methods for the AOAC International and the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). The aflatoxin sampling protocol for the AACC was written by our laboratory personnel and DFA was the laboratory contracted with the AOAC International Research Institute to certify the first aflatoxin test kits. Our laboratory is certified by USDA for aflatoxin analyses and thousands of mycotoxin analyses are performed annually to certify shipments of various dried fruits and tree nuts. If aflatoxin or ochratoxin analyses are needed for shipment, our laboratory is fully competent to meet your testing requirements.
Yearly surveys are conducted for various commodities to evaluate food safety indicators such as pesticide residues, pathogens and aflatoxin.
