SCTC Annual Meeting
On February 19, 2010, SCTC held their annual meeting in conjunction with American Council for Food Safety and Quality (ACFSQ)/DFA in Monterey, California. As part of the SCTC Annual Business Meeting the following items were reviewed with the members:
Peter Friedmann, Executive Director with Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) was the guest speaker for the Transportation Workshop. Peter discussed topics such as U.S competitiveness, structural changes in the global economy and ocean transportation, concerns for California exporters, freight rate projections and space availability on vessels.
